10 inches later…

So I’ve been talking about chopping my hair off for close to a year now.  Long hair is a love/hate kind of relationship.  I’m going to give you a reason for every inch I cut off:

  1. Headaches.
  2. I could never wear it up anymore without getting a headache.  I felt like my styles were so limited.
  3. It didn’t look as healthy as I would like.
  4. It took me an hour to shampoo and style my hair {ain’t nobody got time for that}.
  5. ZERO volume, always.
  6. It would hardly ever hold curl anymore {which my hair normally does really well}.
  7. Sometimes Erik would roll over on it at night {ouch}!
  8. Having to use a ton {basically literally} of shampoo.
  9. It was SO tangly.  All the time.
  10. Big one, it was trying to strangle me at night.

Therefore, I proceeded to chop the locks!  There is something so wonderful about doing a big change to your hair {coming from a hairstylist myself}!  It’s one of my favorite parts of my job!  Getting to make women feel beautiful in their own skin and hair!  ***However, I DO NOT recommend doing a big change until YOU are completely ready.  I put a lot of thought and reasoning into cutting my hair.  I was beyond ready.  I even dreamed about it, twice.  Hysterical waking up and thinking all your hair is gone.***

Here is the long before.  So long.  Now the fun part!  I have a trusty hairstylist, Ashley!  She does an amazing job on my hair every time!  Communication is “key” with your hairstylist, ladies!

That is pure joy gleaming from my face!  I literally felt like an airhead.  Laugh if you want!  I could not believe how heavy all that hair really was!  My head feels so much lighter!

After a little color and finishing touches on the cut, voilà!

My color here looks caramel-ly.  Oh light, why do you do this to me?

I may have taken a few selfies after!  I just couldn’t help myself!

This is my proud friend and hairstylist, Ashley!  Thank you, again, if you’re reading this!

I would call this haircut the popular LOB {A.K.A. long bob}.  I can’t wait to try different ways of styling it and share some with y’all!

This is called my “I woke up like this” style.

But really though.  It still doesn’t look half bad after I slept like a crazy person.

So happy I could share this with you all!  Let me know if you ladies have any questions regarding my color or cut!  Also, if you need some reasoning before you do a big change, I’m here for ya!

Love,

Fallon

I love your blog! After meeting your parents and sister earlier this year (we had a place for their horses before road to the horse). I am now so blessed to “meet” you through this blog. And although I am a horse person with many hours in the barn I do like fashion too! I love the Kenra heat styling product you recommended! Hard to find hair styles that work after wearing a riding helmet !

I love it. It looks so good and so healthy. But then you would look good in anything. Great job Ashley. I wish I had the courage to do the same.
