“It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year”

Welcome to our humble abode…

Come on in!

I’ve always said our home is like a “Cracker Barrel Christmas” this time of year {and I’m proud of it, thank you}.

Our house is simple, but it’s special to us.  I love adding little details to make it personal and unique!

This metal moose head is one of my favorite things in our home!  He gets the privilege to stay out all year long!

I love adding all the Christmas cards we receive to this unique string of lights throughout December!  By the end of the month it is always full {yippee}!

Sleigh bells on the door, of course!

I took a lantern I found on sale and added in some pine cones and decor balls!  Voilá!

I love this antler piece for our centerpiece in the dining room.  I snagged it on sale at Hobby Lobby one year!  I also love candles, can you tell?

Here’s our little tree!  We always do a live tree.  Growing up, my family and I would go to the mountains.  We would go to a Christmas tree farm and find the perfect tree, cut it down and bring it home.  These are some of my best Christmas memories.  I loved bringing the tree home and decorating it with the people I love.  The spirit of Christmas is so special.  My dad owns a garden center in our hometown, Landscapes by Mew.  Now he gets the trees and sells them here!

The past couple years, to add a country flair, I’ve used a galvanized pale at the bottom of the tree.  It’s so rustic and CUTE!

Our tree is topped with this magnificent bow my mom made!  She is so creative and does such a great job tying bows.  She sells them at my dad’s garden center every year.

I love special, personal ornaments!  Growing up, every ornament on our tree had a story behind it; “Baby’s 1st Christmas”, ornaments made in Sunday School, ones we had bought on vacations.  Jax’s sweet face got put on the ornament we got last year in Charleston, SC at the Festival of Lights.  So much fun!  I love this ornament we got on our honeymoon.  It will always remind me of the sweet times we had in Tennessee.  {What can I say?  I’m very sentimental.}

These are so neat.  We save the trunk of our tree every year and cut a slice off.  My brother engraves the year for us.  I can’t wait to one day have a tree with nothing but wood slices of memories.

Here’s wishing a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”    -Luke 2:11

  1. Fallon, I love your Christmas post. Your Christmas decorations and sharing your home decorations for Christmas gave me tons of ideas. I don’t know which one I love more. Too many to choose from. Merry Christmas to you, Eric and of course Jax
