SHOP. BLOG. GATHER.
I always felt sluggish, bloated, tired, groggy, and blah. I had basically failed {shhh} at keeping up with my “making healthier choices” New Year’s resolution. I knew I had to start eating better. I joined two of my gal pals for the AdvoCare 10 Day Cleanse and we agreed to be accountability partners. Note to self: if you’re going to try to change your eating habits or be healthier, you need someone to hold you accountable. Seriously y’all, there is junk food e v e r y w h e r e!
This cleanse is a “fresh start” for your body. It helps to rid your body of waste and prepare your body to better absorb nutrients. It consists of 3 products along with a healthy diet {basically clean eating}. The cleanse will come with a Probiotic Restore, Herbal Cleanse tablets and a Fiber mix. I also drank the AdvoCare Spark during the day {it was a lifesaver}! Watermelon is my favorite flavor so far! I highly recommend using the AdvoCare App on your phone. It gives you a list of recommended foods and portion sizes. I ate a ton of fruits and veggies, lean meat and drank enough water to fill a pool.
I prepared my ‘snacks’ on Sundays when we got home from church. I ate 5 times a day {Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner}. My snack in the morning would normally be a fruit and my snack in the afternoon would be a veggie. I would cut up the fruits/veggies and put them into individual serving bags or containers. It made it very easy during the week to just grab one and go. Plus, it kept me from overeating.
I kept a journal all 10 days of what I was putting into my body. These are some of the things I ate:
Overall, I am really satisfied with the cleanse! I didn’t do the cleanse to lose weight, but to help me adopt healthier eating habits. After 10 days, I feel better, no longer bloated and it really makes me think twice about what I’m eating. It definitely made me practice self control. I believe a healthy lifestyle is about balance. I’m still finding mine. I live in the South so there’s plenty of delicious food that’s not good for you {#amen}! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with treating yourself every so often {especially when traveling}, but majority of the time try to make healthier choices. Every lifestyle and person will have their own balance. If you’re interested in the cleanse or any of their products, click here and my good friend, Jaime, will be happy to help you!
