Layers, Neutrals, + A Tip

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love bundling up in lots of layers and bringing out my cozy cardigans.  Layering is one of the most unique and fun styling trends.  I love layering different patterns, materials, colors, and so on.  Tip: Try layering stripes with polka dots or plaid, a dainty lace top with a chambray button up, or a yellow top with pops of turquoise jewelry.  The possibilities are endless.

With this outfit, I paired a lightweight polka dot top with a super cozy knit cardigan that resembled stripes with the different threading.  I paired it with my “boyfriend” jeans ’cause they are so comfy, duh.  Add some fun jewelry {seems like turquoise always makes it in the mix with me} and the look is complete!  I love mixing neutrals!  This outfit was mostly black and cream, but it’s nice to throw in the camel flats as another neutral.

This photo shoot also gave me the perfect opportunity to be trendy and get a Starbucks drink!  If you haven’t tried the Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino, go now, like run fast as you can.  It’s amazing and almost didn’t make it through the photoshoot.  It’s that good.

Hope you’re having a great week and enjoying some cooler weather, friends!

  1. This outfit is so cute! I love layers – especially pattern and/or texture layers. They just make an outfit so much more eye catching, in my opinion.
