Top 10 Beauty Products

I am going to share 10 beauty products you need in your life…right now!

#1: Because it will make your life better.

#2: Because I love ya!

Being in the hair/beauty industry, I love trying new products often.  These are products that have just stuck.  I plan on using them for a very L O N G time.  I’ve added the links so you can check them all out yourself {you’re welcome}.

1: Rodan + Fields Foaming Sunless Tan

I am pale as they come.  I used Jergen’s Essential Glow for the longest time.  I recently started using Rodan + Fields {which I LOVE – I’ll be doing another post about my regimen later on}.  Their sunless tan is really wonderful.  It’s lightweight and oil-free. It dries very quickly.  && It has all kinds of lovely ingredients!  This sunless tan will be getting me through winter without looking like a ghost, snow white, etc.

2: Pureology Purify Shampoo

We’re pretty tough on our hair, right?!  Products, lots of hairspray, minerals in the water, the list goes on…  Every so often, we should all use a clarifying shampoo.  I use mine once a week.  It removes buildup without stripping your hair color {sulfate-free}.  I normally use my regular shampoo first, then clarifying shampoo, and then my regular conditioner.  It will leave your hair feeling extra clean and soft.

3: Kenra Hot Spray

All the ladies that use flat irons, curling irons, rollers, etc…this is for YOU!  I have been using it for 57383058 years.  It’s amazing!!!  It’s a heat protection spray, but has a hairspray base to it.  After you’ve blow dried your hair and now you’re about to style with your hot tool, use this first!  It’s going to protect your hair and give it hold for up to 60 hours {that’s crazy}!  Even in high-humidity conditions {crazier}!  A LOT of my clients use this everyday, including myself!

4: Pureology Colour Fanatic

This is a leave-in conditioner.  You would use this after you’ve shampooed, conditioned, and towel-dried your hair.  It literally has 21 BENEFITS.  I can’t list them all here, but click the link to check them out!  It primes, protects and perfects color treated hair.  It’s going to give you moisture without weighing it down. Plus, it smells lovely {need I say more?}.

5: Bamboo Translucent Dry Shampoo

I am a dry shampoo addict {at least I’m admitting}.  I DO NOT wash my hair everyday, thankfully.  It’s great if you can go more than one day without shampooing your hair.  Your natural oil is the best conditioner for your hair.  However, I have some clients that have to shampoo everyday, that’s okay too!  This dry shampoo absorbs oil, product build up, and impurities to extend the life of your blowout without leaving a powdery residue.  You need this in your life, I promise!

I also LOVE the new Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo.

6: Francesca’s Velvet Noir Perfume

A girl can never have too many perfumes.  I have 5 different perfumes at the moment.  Whatever mood I’m in, that’s the one I choose.  I constantly pick the Velvet Noir as my favorite!  This scent has top notes of sparkling cassis, a warm heart of ballerina fressia and star jasmine, and a decadent base with hints of caramel.  Fancy enough, right?!  But without the fancy price!  Score!

7: Benefit’s POREfessional Face Primer

This stuff is my “face” saver on my days off when I don’t feel like putting makeup on.  It reduces the appearance of pores.  It makes my skin look smooth and silky!  It has the best consistency; super lightweight and oil-free!  This balm is a lazy day and still look fabulous dream come true!

8: Make Up For Ever Concealer

Every girl needs a dependable concealer.  This one has a matte finish; it’s oil-free, waterproof and full coverage.  I have sensitive skin and it’s never given me any problems.  It has never felt heavy or thick, but I get great coverage!  It’s a keeper!

9: Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara

This mascara is the best I have found {and I’ve been through a lot of mascara}.  I use it horizontally to get length and volume, BUT you can also use it vertically!  It has a domed tip with tiny, little bristles to get more precision and definition.  It’s all things good, just sayin’!

10: Tarte Lip Tint

This is a moisturizing lip stain.  It feels like lip balm, but has amazing color!  Plus, there are 7 shades to choose from!  I’m using Lovely {watermelon pink} at the moment.  I like to switch it up though!

When I find something of good quality, I love to share it with my friends and clients!  Feel free to e-mail me {} or leave a comment if you have any questions about these products.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

“Butter” Luck Next Time

It was only appropriate to go shopping on the same day I launched my blog, of course.  I spent most of my Saturday shopping with my sister-in-law, Jennifer.  We had such a fun day; shopped ’til we dropped.

My family and I have been looking forward to going to eat crab legs for months!  Finally, majority of the tourists have gone home {no offense intended}.  I put my new outfit together for dinner.  A new top and jeans can make a girl feel like a million bucks.

{Shoutout to my hubby for being my personal photographer for 2 minutes!  Love ya!}

This was a much anticipated “night on the town” for us.  We live almost an hour from the seafood joint – all you can eat crab legs!  Yum!

We make it to the restaurant, to the buffet line, and finally back to the table with a plate full of steaming crab legs.  Who doesn’t love crab legs with melted, warm butter on the side for dipping?!  I go to move my butter and…{I’m cringing as I write this} the whole LITER…okay okay, maybe an ounce…falls into my lap.  On my brand new top and jeans.  Not just any jeans, ANTHROPOLOGIE JEANS!  I broke a sweat paying for them earlier in the day {shew}.

Life goes on.  It’s soaking with some Dawn as we speak.  Lesson learned: Looking stylish and going to buffets do not go hand-in-hand.  Wear an old t-shirt next time…note to self.

Atleast the crab legs were worth it.  Plus, time spent with family and friends.
